Intel Xeon E5-2600v4 “Broadwell” CPUs for HPC

We at Advanced Clustering are pleased to offer the next generation of Xeon processors from Intel — the “Broadwell” E5-2600 v4 — in our Pinnacle servers and MicroHPC workstations. These Broadwell chips are a significant step forward in terms of performance for HPC. With increased core counts as well as the introduction of 2400MHz DDR4 memory, the new Broadwell Xeons will have a tremendous impact on the high performance computing (HPC) community.

  • More energy efficient

Independent core and un-core frequency scaling to lower total power consumption. Energy-efficient Turbo 2.0 runs the CPU at higher than marked clock speeds.

  • Increased I/O performance

Up to 25% more memory bandwidth and up to 20% faster intra-processor communications than previous generation Xeon CPUs.
