True turn-key HPC clusters

When you buy an Apex high performance cluster (HPC) from Advanced Clustering, you will get a true turn-key cluster. You will NOT get a bunch of machines and some accessories that you have to assemble yourself. Our systems are completely configured, installed, and tested as a working high performance compute cluster.

An Apex Cluster is not just some nodes — it includes everything you need to have a working system:

• Pre-cabled rack cabinet
• Power distribution
• Operating system and cluster management software
• Support and warranty packages

Clusters are shipped complete with all nodes, cables, and accessories pre-assembled into rack cabinets.  Cabinets are shipped on specially designed pallets with off-loading ramps, so it is as easy as rolling a cabinet into its final destination.

If this is your first system or if you would like extra assistance, on-site installation is an available option.  We provide highly trained and experienced technicians who will help you with hardware or additional software setup and answer all your questions.

Custom setup and configuration

We offer no cookie-cutter clusters systems — everything is custom configured to your exact specifications.  We offer a few sample models on our site, but many additional options are available. Each HPC cluster can be completely custom configured to your needs. If you don't see what you are looking for on our website, please use our custom system configuration tool so we can build your perfect system.

After you place your order, we will send you a custom order configuration form that allows you to specify details of your preferred software setup. This can be as simple as disk partitioning or setting IP addresses, to more complex tasks such as specific software packages, configuring network authentication, virtualization setup, or whatever else you need. Latest technology

Advanced Clustering's dedicated staff of engineers and technicians are always evaluating the newest technology. Our constant evaluation allows us to find new products or innovative solutions that make our Apex Clusters even better.

By using our strong vendor relationships and technical expertise, we are able to adapt to the latest hardware and software offerings, often much quicker than other cluster vendors. When a new processor or architecture is announced, rest assured that Advanced Clustering has a already tested it and is usually prepared to ship systems on the launch date.

To keep current with latest technology, we are constantly investing in our in-house test clusters, updating them with the latest components and testing performance, compatibility, and stability. Advanced Clustering launches a new product only after it has been fully tested and is production ready!

Extensive testing procedures

Over the years, we have tried numerous commercial and open-source products for our important hardware "burnin" and stress-testing procedures. We realized that none of products offered a complete and thorough test, so we created our own software: breakin. Breakin can find faults with systems that are poorly engineered or that are using substandard components, which often aren't found with other available burnin products.

Our breakin application is so powerful at finding hardware issues that it is now used by several major component manufacturers in their validation and factory testing procedures.

Although we use our own breakin software for testing individual machines in your cluster, that is not the end of our testing process. After every system passes our hardware breakin test, it moves onto a cluster-wide test, which is performed after the system is installed with the final operating system, drivers, and software configuration.

All of our systems undergo this extensive testing process so that we deliver a stable and working product to you.

• Advance replacement of parts: No need to send a failed part back to us first — we quickly send you the part so you are up and running as fast as possible.
• Paid shipping: We pay to ship the replacement part to you and return the failed part.
