True turn-key HPC clustersWhen you buy an Apex high performance cluster (HPC) from Advanced Clustering, you will get a true turn-key cluster. You will NOT get a bunch of machines and some accessories that you have to assemble yourself. Our systems are completely configured, installed, and tested as a working high performance compute cluster. An Apex Cluster is not just some nodes, it includes everything you need to have a working system including:
Clusters are shipped complete with all nodes, cables, and accessories pre-assembled into rack cabinets. Cabinets are shipped on specially designed pallets with off-loading ramps, so it's as simple as rolling a cabinet into it's final destination. If this is your first system or want extra assistance on-site installation is an option available to you. We provide highly trained and experienced technicians that will help you with any hardware or additional software setup or questions you may need. Custom Setup and ConfigurationWe offer no cookie-cutter clusters systems. Everything is custom configured to your specifications. We offer a small number of models on our website so you can understand our capabilities, but this is by no means complete. Each HPC cluster can be completely custom configured to your needs. If you don't see what your looking for on our website, please use our custom system configuration tool so we can build your perfect system. After every order is placed a custom order configuration form is sent to you. This will allow you to specify details of the software setup you would like us to perform. This can be as simple as disk partitioning or setting IP addresses to more complex tasks like: specific software packages, configuring network authentication, virtualization setup, or just about anything else you need. The Latest TechnologyAdvanced Clustering's dedicated staff of Engineers and Technicians are always evaluating the newest technology. Our constant evaluation allows us to find new products or innovative solutions that make our Apex Clusters even better. By using our strong vendor relationships and technical expertise, we are able to adapt to the latest hardware and software offerings, often much quicker than other cluster vendors. When a new processor or architecture is announced rest assured Advanced Clustering has a already tested it, and usually is ready to ship systems on the launch date. To keep up to date with latest technology we are constantly investing in our in-house test clusters. We are updating them with the latest components and testing performance, compatibility, and stability. Rest assured that when Advanced Clustering launches a new product it's been fully tested and production ready. Extensive Testing ProceduresOver the years we've tried numerous commercial and open-source products for our important hardware "burnin" and stress testing procedures. We've found that none of them offers a complete and through test. Therefore we've created our own software we call breakin. Named because it can find faults with systems that are poorly engineered, or using substandard components that are never found with the other burnin products available. Our breakin application has proved to be so powerful at finding hardware issues it's now used by several major component manufacturers in their validation and factory testing procedures. Because we believe in the ideals of open-source and giving back to the community, this product is available for free and under an open-source license on our website. You can find more about breakin by clicking here. While we use our own breakin software for testing individual machines in your cluster that is not the end of our testing procedure. After every system passes our hardware breakin test, it moves onto a cluster wide test. This test is performed after the system is installed with the final operating system, drivers, and software configuration. All of our systems undergo this extensive testing procedure that can take many days to complete, so that we deliver a stable and working product to you.
