On August 26, the First International Workshop on Climate Informatics will be held at the New York Academy of Sciences. The event, which is presented by the Center for Computational Learning Systems, Columbia University, LDEO/GISS Climate Center, Information Science and Technology Center at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the New York Academy of Sciences, will cover topics such as machine learning, data mining, or statistics applied to climate science; long- and short-term climate prediction; and modeling of climate data.
