HPC Cluster Blog – New version of eQUEUE available

Posted on March 4, 2014

Advanced Clustering Technologies is pleased to announce version 0.9 of eQUEUE. The RPM has been updated in our yum repository, so a simple “yum update equeue” should get the new version. If you don’t get the updated package, a “yum clean all” will clear any cache you have stored locally.

If you have any questions on this update or any eQUEUE related support issues, please send us an email at: [email protected] or call 866-802-8222 x2.

NEW FEATURES:
======================

The ACT_FORMS_DIR setting in equeue.ini can now support multiple paths. This allows you to have multiple locations for forms, and includes the ability for users to create their own forms in home directories.

Example:

ACT_FORMS_DIR[“Forms”] = “/act/equeue/forms”
ACT_FORMS_DIR[“Personal”] = “$HOME/equeue/forms”

If there are no forms in the specified directory, the option will not be presented to the end user.

Also in recent versions, added the ability to manually specify the SSH port and hostname / IP address to tunnel sessions through. This is useful if you run SSH on a non-standard port, or the hostname for the web interface is not the same as the SSH interface (due to proxies or firewalls).

The options in equeue.ini are ACT_XSESSION_SSH_PORT and ACT_XSESSION_GATEWAY

BUG FIXES:
======================

* Updated the .htaccess file to include HTTP headers to better support Internet Explorer. This update prevents IE from going into compatibility mode on some configurations.

* Fixes few minor security issues with cross-site scripting (fixed in version 0.8.4 and newer)
